Johnson & Johnson in Nijmegen, Netherlands, is seeking a Production Operator to operate manufacturing machinery, perform format changeovers, and support continuous improvement within GMP and safety standards.

You will follow SOPs, document records, and assist in manufacturing and packaging processes while working closely with the production team for quality and timely output. Training and potential extension depend on performance.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively within a team.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness standards.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ideally experience in manufacturing; LEAN tools desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment for optimal performance.
• Follow GMP, SOPs, and safety protocols; keep work area clean to prevent contamination.
• Prepare and verify batch components; perform format changeovers as needed.
• Manufacture products per established procedures and quality standards.
• Conduct product inspections and in-process checks for specs compliance.
• Document production records and support batch reconciliation and material transfers.
• Adhere to PPE and corporate security rules; report risks and safety concerns.
• Support team members and contribute to finished goods projects and tasks.
• Escalate deviations and defects; propose improvements and follow conduct policies.

We have several new openings to join us as a Production Operator in Nijmegen, Netherlands.

Purpose:

In this role, you will operate manufacturing machinery, make adjustments, and execute product changes as necessary. You will perform all functions required for different manufacturing areas in accordance with established procedures, Good Manufacturing and Documentation Practices, Quality Standards, Safety Rules, and the Employee Code of Conduct. You will also complete a period of training, qualification, and apprenticeship while supporting the manufacturing team in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner, reporting to the Team Lead Production.

You will be responsible for:

• Operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Following SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety protocols at all times while maintaining cleanliness of the work area to prevent contamination or mix-ups
• Preparing and verifying batch components and preparing machinery, including performing format changeovers for production runs
• Manufacturing products in accordance with established procedures, GMP, documentation practices, and quality standards
• Conducting product inspections and in-process checks to ensure compliance with specifications
• Preparing, documenting, and accurately completing production records, including batch reconciliation and supporting material transfers
• Following PPE and corporate security requirements, reporting risks, and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and company regulations
• Supporting team members in manufacturing processes, fostering cooperation, and supporting finished goods projects and assigned tasks
• Escalating process deviations, batch mix-ups, critical defects, or other issues impacting safety, production, or product quality, while ensuring compliance with the Employee Code of Conduct and communicating improvement opportunities

Qualifications / Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• An ability to follow instructions and effective communication skills combined with an ability to work well within a team
• Good command of spoken and written English, with the ability to understand work instructions and communicate effectively within the team
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness standards
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Ideally experience in manufacturing or production environment ; experience with LEAN tools and continuous improvement methodologies is also desirable, but not a must have

The position is initially offered on the basis of a 1-year fixed-term contract with possibility of extension depending on performance.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€36.300,00 - €51.865,00
