Job description

As Production Engineer, you will serve as the critical technical link between R&D and the production floor. Currently, technical product issues are escalated directly to R&D, limiting their ability to focus on innovation and leading to reactive rather than structural problem-solving in production. In this role, you will take ownership of identifying, analysing, and resolving technical issues at their source within the production environment.

You will drive continuous improvement by implementing sustainable solutions and ensuring that lessons learned are translated into clear technical documentation and standardised processes. By doing so, you will help prevent recurring issues, enhance production efficiency, and enable R&D to focus on future product development. Your work will be key in building a more proactive, robust, and scalable production organisation.

Your Responsibilities
  • Acting as the technical bridge between R&D and production
  • Analysing and resolving technical product issues directly on the production floor
  • Identifying root causes of production problems and implementing sustainable solutions
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability
  • Developing and maintaining clear technical documentation, work instructions, and standards
  • Translating R&D designs into robust and manufacturable production processes
  • Supporting production teams with technical expertise and training where needed
  • Preventing recurring issues by standardising solutions and embedding learnings into processes
  • Collaborating closely with R&D to optimise product design for manufacturability (DFM)
  • Monitoring production performance and proactively identifying areas for optimisation
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Technical background in electronics or mechatronics manufacturing
  • Experience in production process optimization and troubleshooting
  • Able to write and maintain technical production documentation
  • Comfortable working at the intersection of engineering and production
