Job description

At AME, we design and manufacture innovative, sustainable, and high-quality products by combining electronics, mechanics, software, and manufacturing technologies.

As a Production Engineer, you are responsible for maintaining and continuously improving AME's production processes in mechatronics and electronics manufacturing. You take ownership of assigned production processes and equipment, ensuring they operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. By analyzing production processes, identifying bottlenecks, and recognizing opportunities for improvement, you help ensure stable, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing.

As the technical point of contact for Operators and Team Leaders, you provide hands-on support in resolving production issues while maintaining process stability and quality.

You play a key role in preparing and implementing New Product Introductions (NPIs), acting as the link between manufacturing engineering and production. This includes reviewing product and tooling designs for manufacturability, validating production processes, releasing equipment for serial production, and establishing maintenance schedules and process control plans.

What you’ll do
  • Prepare, execute, and validate New Product Introductions (NPI's).
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for production equipment and tooling.
  • Provide technical support to Operators and Team Leaders during daily production.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions and training materials
  • Train Operators on machine operation, process knowledge, and best practices.
  • Maintain operator qualification records and skills matrices.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions

Who are you ?
  • MBO+ or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Eager to learn, take ownership and continuously develop your technical skills.
  • 0 to 5 years of experience in production engineering
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  • A proactive team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (Dutch is a plus).
  • A systematic and structured approach, strong problem-solving skills, and a hands‑on mentality.
Why joining AME?
  • An inspiring, open, direct and entrepreneurial working culture.
  • The opportunity to work on innovative high-tech products from concept to industrialization.
  • Be part of a fast‑growing high‑tech company in the heart of Brainport Eindhoven.
  • An international working environment with talented colleagues from all over the world.
  • A flat organizational structure with short communication lines and quick decision-making.
  • Plenty of opportunities for personal and professional development.
