Job summary

TomTom is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and build a production-ready AI product. The role covers full-stack work from feature development to infrastructure and client-side integration.

You'll design and implement features in Python, contribute to CI/CD and MLOps, improve evaluation systems, integrate with client environments, and push model performance toward production readiness.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python for feature development and system integration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and MLOps best practices.
• Ability to integrate AI solutions into client environments.
• Develop in-house evaluation systems to measure model performance.
• Knowledge of fine-tuning and prompt engineering for AI models.
• Focus on production readiness, reliability, and robust error handling.

Responsibilities

• New Feature Development Design, implement, and deploy new features using Python to enhance our core AI functionalities.
• DevOps and MLOps Contribute to the development and maintenance of our CI/CD pipelines and MLOps infrastructure.
• In-house Evaluation System Develop and improve our internal evaluation system to accurately measure model performance, track key metrics, and ensure data integrity.
• Integration and Deployment Manage the integration of our AI solution into client environments.
• AI Model Improvement Work with our existing models to enhance their performance and efficiency, including fine-tuning and prompt engineering.
• R&D Contributions Participate in short-term research and development projects to explore new technologies and approaches.
• Product Hardening Take ownership of tasks focused on making the product production-ready, including improving reliability and monitoring.
