Job summary

Fluence, a global leader in energy storage and optimization software, seeks a Product Manager, System Intelligence to advance SBMS, analytics, and intelligent control features. You will translate complex battery, software, controls, and data insights into clear product requirements and high‑impact solutions.

Own the system intelligence roadmap, align cross‑functional teams, engage customers, and quantify value with financial models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of product management experience owning complex, system-level products in renewable energy, energy storage systems, battery analytics, or battery systems.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in leading engineering teams to achieve ambitious goals.
• Ability to define product direction and value in ambiguous problem spaces.
• Experience in constructing business cases including DCF, IRR, and NPV for BESS or renewable energy projects.
• System-level understanding of battery energy storage systems and applications.
• Clear, structured communicator for technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel internationally (~25%).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and shape the product strategy and roadmap for System Intelligence capabilities, including SBMS, performance analytics, and intelligent control features.
• Translate strategic objectives into clearly defined product requirements and prioritized initiatives.
• Develop understanding of customer operational challenges and value drivers for BESSs, linking features to customer value through financial modeling.
• Identify opportunities to increase customer value through joint hardware, software, and analytics work.
• Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to validate problem statements and roadmap priorities.
• Partner with hardware, software, analytics, and commercial teams to ensure reliable, scalable delivery.
• Support cross-functional engineering teams in day-to-day problem-solving and milestone progress.
• Support regional sales and marketing in customer conversations and sales materials around systems intelligence.
