Job summary

KONI is seeking a Product Design Engineer to drive the design of shock absorbers and hydropneumatic suspension across railway, car, and defense applications. You will create 3D models and detailed drawings, work with ERP/PDM systems, and optimize for manufacturability and cost.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical/Automotive background with 5–7 years of relevant experience and are proficient in SolidWorks, Pro/E, and Matlab/Simulink, with a collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Aeronautic, Automotive) with 5–7 years of experience in a comparable role.
Knowledge of designing Shock absorbers, Hydraulic valves, Hydraulic systems, Suspension systems.
3D SolIdworks, Pro–E proficiency; experience in new product development.

Responsibilities

Concept, Feasibility and Design of new products or new range of products in collaboration with Application Engineering, Quality and Industrial Engineering.
Realization of 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOM of new prototypes and products.
Follow up proto realization and testing; manage NPD projects using toll gate system.
