Job summary

KONI, a global leader in shock absorbers and suspension systems, seeks a Product Manager Automotive Aftermarket to drive aftermarket product lines. You will work independently within set procedures and pricing strategy, and create requests for new (customized) product developments.

After orders, the Customer Services team handles planning and warranty execution; you will continue as an information source, problem solver, and supervisor of the process, while supporting sales efforts in a dynamic,

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar Product Manager role.
  • Knowledge of KONI products and shock absorber/chassis technology.
  • Ability to work independently within procedures and guidelines.
  • Familiarity with pricing strategy and market dynamics.
  • Multilingual communication skills: English, Dutch; basic German and French.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare market introduction of new applications.
  • Maintenance of product data in main product databases with clear documentation and internal order specifications.
  • Maintain telephone contact with relations and act as a reliable representative of the organization.
  • Provide support related to (technical) product queries of customers and end users.
  • Oversee aftermarket product lines and Sales Support.

For the day-to-day workload, the Product Manager works independently within set procedures and guidelines as well as within the established pricing strategy. Creates Requests for new (customized) products developments. Work with the team when a strategic assessment has to be made about whether or not to make an offer to a (potential) customer.

After the order has been received, the Customer Services department is responsible for the actual operational planning and execution of the orders and handling of warranty cases as well as communication with customers, while the officer continues to function as a source of information and problem solver and supervises the process.

The Product Manager Automotive Aftermarket will be responsible for The KONI Aftermarket Product lines and Sales Support.

  • prepare market introduction of new applications
  • maintenance of product data in main product databases, that have to be clear and complete documentation, administration and internal order specifications
  • maintaining telephone contact with relations
  • a representative, customer-friendly and reliable representation of the organization, who can support related to (technical) product queries of customers and end users

We're looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, not only as a Manager.

The perfect candidate has knowledge in:

  • KONI products in particular and shock absorber/chassis technology in general
  • vehicle technology, brands, models, types and configurations
  • market and competition
  • marketing and sales
  • company pricing strategy
  • the English and Dutch. On top, preferably German language (m/s) and French (m)
  • the administrative affairs within the department
  • applicable procedures and guidelines, including financial and quality guidelines, etc.
  • the usual Windows PC/Laptop and the standard Office Applications installed on it
  • the company rules, quality procedures, environmental and safety regulations within the organization
