Job Description
VHR Is hiring for our client, a leading aerospace manufacturing company specialising in designing and manufacturing parts for airplanes and helicopters. This is your chance to be part of an organisation that has proven itself at the cutting edge of the industry and is committed to pushing the boundaries even further.
The successful candidate will lead the design, standardisation, and continuous improvement of our client’s global procurement process and will be the key driver in transforming the way the organisation buys, collaborates, and delivers value. In this strategic and globally visible role, you will shape procurement excellence through the adoption of digital procurement technologies, strong process governance, and effective cross‑functional partnership.
The position is responsible for every stage of the procurement process, from the moment the business identifies a need (customer demand) all the way to evaluating how well suppliers perform after goods or services are delivered—including Intake‑to‑Source, Source‑to‑Contract, Procure‑to‑Pay, and Procurement Risk Management.
Your responsibilities will include
- Develop business cases and lead the design of procurement processes for global initiatives, including pre‑RFP requirements for new digital procurement tools and enhancements to existing systems, processes, and reporting.
- Shape the design and structure of global procurement solutions, taking a key functional role in major development and transformation projects.
- Drive collaboration across global procurement teams to promote process excellence, share best practices, and support standardisation.
- Act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders, ensuring procurement goals are aligned with broader business priorities.
- Support the global rollout and adoption of procurement processes and systems, ensuring solutions are well‑designed, consistent, and scalable across the organisation.
- Champion digital procurement best practices, embedding continuous improvement and modern, efficient ways of working.
- Lead assigned projects from start to finish, including planning, budgeting, delivery oversight, and performance tracking.
Requirements
- Procurement professional with deep end‑to‑end process expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders within a complex, matrixed manufacturing environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain, ideally in a complex, multi‑site organisation.
- Strong knowledge of end‑to‑end procurement processes, including P2P, S2C, supplier performance, risk management, and compliance.
- Strong analytical skills with a genuine interest in process design, systems, and data‑driven decision making.
- Solid cross‑functional understanding of how procurement connects with functions such as finance, operations, and engineering.
- Ability to navigate dependencies across the business and align process improvements with wider organisational priorities.
- Confident facilitator, comfortable leading workshops, training sessions, and working with both internal and external partners.
- Hands‑on, adaptable, and able to operate effectively in fast‑changing, highly regulated environments.
- Collaborative, energetic team player with strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a growth mindset, with the willingness to try new approaches and focus on delivering meaningful outcomes.
- A competitive package which will depend on your experience to be discussed on application.
- Opportunity to work from home with 1 day a month onsite (3 days per week for first 3 months as part of introduction).
