Our client, a global FMCG business behind a portfolio of trusted household brands, is looking for an entrepreneurial and experienced Procurement Manager to join its Logistics Procurement team, based in Amsterdam.
In this role, you will contribute to building a new warehouse footprint for the business, managing around six warehouses across Europe, Australia and New Zealand. You will lead strategic sourcing initiatives, manage international supplier relationships, and oversee freight-in, freight-out and ocean freight categories, as well as embellishment and pallets across the region. The role covers developing sourcing and contracting strategy, tracking commodity cost drivers and market dynamics, supporting global sustainability targets, safeguarding continuity of supply, and driving quality, service and audit compliance improvements. You will also lead procurement tenders, from strategy through to negotiation.
The right person will bring a bachelor's or master's degree (a qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain or Logistics is an advantage), at least five years' experience in supply chain, warehousing or logistics, and solid knowledge of procurement processes and warehouse operations. Fluency in English is essential, with German or Dutch an advantage, along with strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills and a willingness to travel around 20% of the time.
The role is based in Amsterdam, with a salary range of €85-105K. There are a range of local and global benefits including career mobility opportunities, a referral program, access to an online learning academy, mental wellbeing support and short-term bonus incentives.
