Job summary

Rival Foods in the Netherlands is seeking a Process Operator to join our growing production team. You will set up, run, and maintain our new plant-based meat machines, connecting Engineering with the floor and ensuring product quality.

You have hands-on production experience, a technical mindset, and enjoy solving problems in a fast-paced start-up environment. We offer full-time stability, travel allowance, and generous holiday leave.

Responsibilities

• Set up and execute production with new machines on the shop floor.
• Check operation, perform maintenance, and train Operators in the use of our machines.
• Maintain installations in the production building in collaboration with external parties.
• Help with production where necessary and randomly test product quality.
• Ensure machines continue to run and product quality remains high.
• Think along about improvements for new machine designs based on experience.

Description

At Rival Foods, you help build the future where plant-based products can match the animal original, without compromising on taste, health, animal welfare or sustainability. We have developed machines for this purpose with which we make a beautiful plant-based alternative to meat. This year we are starting with our professional production location where our machines can make the ’meat’ of the future.

Rival Foods is a Food-Tech startup where we develop new technologies to produce the next generation of plant-based meat substitutes. The team at Rival Foods consists of machine builders, food technologists, production employees and sales people (17 FTE at the moment and growing fast). As a Process Operator, you are an important link in our production process and you are the right hand of the Production Manager. You are the first to set up and execute production with these new machines. You connect our Engineering department with the production floor. You help build the production lines, check their operation, perform maintenance, train Operators in the use of our new machines, maintain all installations in the production building (also in collaboration with external parties), help with production where necessary and randomly test the quality of the products. You ensure that the machines continue to run and that the quality of our products remains high.

Rival Foods is a scale-up and we are continuously working on the further development of our products and machines. Based on your experience with production on our machines (and their maintenance), you think along about the necessary improvements for new machine designs.
