Job summary

The Protein Brewery in Breda is expanding its production team and seeks a Process Operator to join the Fermotein fermentation line on a 5-shift cycle.

You will prepare machines, manage materials, operate and check equipment, and support maintenance while following safety and food safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• MBO Process Operator level 3 or 4, VAPRO B or C training or relevant work experience.
• Technically skilled with solid maintenance abilities.
• Experience with food production and related quality systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Dutch; English knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines and peripheral equipment for production.
• Supply and prepare raw materials according to the work recipe; take samples for analysis.
• Operate, set up and check machines following procedures.
• Open/close production orders and track materials used.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance on equipment during/after production.
• Monitor production processes and report deviations.
• Assist with maintenance work and downtime analyses.
• Contribute to process improvements and development projects.
• Adhere to safety and food safety guidelines at all times.

Who are we looking for?

The Protein Brewery is developing a completely new, highly nutritious food ingredient based on fermentation called Fermotein®. To increase production capacity, we are looking for process operators to join our team. You will work in a 5-shift schedule to produce Fermotein® for our customers.

What are your responsibilities and scope in this role?

• Preparing machines and peripheral equipment for use in order to ensure smooth production.
• Supplying and preparing the necessary raw materials in a timely manner in accordance with the work recipe. You will take samples for analysis.
• Operating, setting up and checking machines and peripheral equipment in accordance with the procedures.
• Performing additional administrative tasks, including opening and closing production orders, keeping track of materials used, completing process, cleaning and control lists, and reporting deviations.
• Performing cleaning and maintenance tasks on machines and peripheral equipment both during and after the production process.
• Managing and monitoring production processes.
• Analysing deviations and disruptions and providing clear instructions to technical support.
• Assisting with maintenance work.
• Actively participating in improvement and development projects.
• Observing safety and food safety guidelines in all work activities.

• MBO Process Operator level 3 or 4, VAPRO B or C training or relevant work experience at this level.
• You are technically skilled and have solid technical maintenance skills.
• Experience with food production and the associated quality systems in a similar position is a plus.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Dutch; knowledge of English is a plus.
