Job summary

Action is seeking a Process Expert SC Facilities to optimize facility processes and systems across Europe. You will partner with Facility departments, DCs, Transport and Planning to translate operational needs into IT specs and drive end-to-end improvements.

The role emphasizes testing, documentation, and standardized work instructions, with a focus on SAP/facility process changes and a strong customer-service mindset in an international setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree at HBO level in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant, process-focused experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transport or Facilities.
• Experience in retail or fast-paced operations is a strong plus.
• Affinity with IT systems and process improvement, with hands-on or familiarity with SAP, MHE or related tools.
• Hands-on testing experience (UAT) and contribution to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to liaise with IT and international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and improve facility processes, systems, and performance issues; translate findings into practical improvements.
• Bridge Business & IT; translate operational challenges into clear IT specifications with multiple teams.
• Manage and resolve process-related incidents; ensure clear stakeholder communication.
• Lead end-to-end improvements from opportunity to implementation, go-lives, and on-site support for new DC openings.
• Coordinate testing activities (UAT, E2E, Production Acceptance) for system releases and SAP changes.
• Document and standardize process flows, work instructions, and training materials for Europe.
• Manage system access and user roles; log improvement proposals in designated systems.
• Contribute to BLUE continuous improvement methodology for scalable facility operations.

Are you ready to improve and optimize Supply Chain Facility processes within one of Europe’s fastest-growing retailers? As Process Expert SC Facilities, you play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the processes and systems that keep our Supply Chain network running efficiently. From supporting distribution centers across Europe to collaborating with IT and business stakeholders, you ensure our Facility processes are reliable, scalable, and future-proof.

You will become part of the SC Support & Process department, where process management, project management, and analytics come together to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across our Supply Chain organization.

This is your daily action

• Optimize & Improve: Analyze facility process, system, and MHE performance issues, identify root causes, and translate findings into practical improvements.
• Bridge Business & IT: Work closely with Facility departments, Distribution Centers, Transport, and Planning teams to understand operational challenges and translate business needs into clear IT specifications.
• Problem & Incident Management: Manage and resolve process-related issues, incidents, and bottlenecks across DC and Transport operations, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
• End-to-End Implementation: Follow facility process and system improvements from initial opportunity identification through to implementation, system go-lives, and on-site support for new DC openings.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Prepare, coordinate, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), End-to-End testing, and Production Acceptance testing for system releases and SAP/facility process changes.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Design, document, and standardize process flows, work instructions, and training materials to share best practices across the European network.
• System & Access Management: Manage authorization profiles, user roles, and registration of improvement proposals in designated systems.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the organization's continuous improvement methodology (BLUE) to ensure scalable, future-proof facility operations.

You will join the Processes & Systems department within the SC Support & Process organization. This department consists of multiple teams focused on process optimization, systems support, training, and continuous improvement across the entire end-to-end Supply Chain.

Together, the team ensures stable and scalable Supply Chain operations while supporting the rapid international growth of Action.

This is you

You are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented. You enjoy improving processes, working closely with different stakeholders, and translating operational challenges into practical solutions. You can easily switch between operational support and strategic improvement initiatives and feel comfortable working in an international environment.
In addition:

• You have a Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• You have 1-3 years of relevant work experience in a process-focused role within Supply Chain, Logistics, Transport, or Facilities.
• You have experience in retail or a fast-paced operational environment (a strong plus).
• You have an affinity with IT systems and process improvement, with hands-on experience or familiarity with SAP, MHE systems, or related enterprise tools.
• You have practical experience with testing activities (such as UAT) and contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.
• You communicate fluently and confidently in English (written and verbal), easily connecting business needs with IT partners and international stakeholders.
• You bring a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving with excellent planning and organizational skills.
• You are a proactive team player with a strong customer service mindset, comfortable supporting multiple projects across European sites.
