A boutique Data & AI consultancy is seeking an experienced data platform leader to manage and architect solutions using Databricks. You will drive projects from conception to delivery, ensuring scalability and governance. The role involves mentoring teammates and navigating ambiguous environments. Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead data platforms from idea to reality, owning the outcome and making architectural decisions.
• Define foundations that scale within Databricks, including Delta Lake design, Unity Catalog governance, and cross-channel platform orchestration.
• Structure platforms end-to-end, from data ingestion to consumption, and guide code and deployment practices.
• Bring structure to unclear environments, turning vague goals into concrete approaches, architectures, and first steps.
• Balance pragmatism with quality, pushing for better design when needed while delivering workable solutions.
• Elevate the capabilities of teammates through reviews, discussions, and collaborative work without imposing hierarchy.
• Influence decisions at the intersection of technology and business, communicating trade-offs to engineers, product owners, and leadership.

Qualifications

• You have led data platforms from idea to reality and own outcomes, including architectural decisions and delivering tangible improvements.
• Databricks is a tool you truly understand; you shape platform structure, from Delta Lake and Unity Catalog to governance, and you can orchestrate across the platform (Workflows, code organization, deployments, data flow).
• Comfortable working across the platform to ensure end-to-end data movement from ingestion to consumption.
• You can operate in and bring order to ambiguous environments.
• You balance pragmatism with long-term quality and are able to guide decisions in collaboration with stakeholders.
• We welcome both established Databricks specialists and those new to Databricks with a clear track to specialise quickly.
• You can bring leadership and mentoring to peers, helping others grow in a non-hierarchical manner.
• Nice to have: Databricks certifications (Data Engineer Professional, Machine Learning Engineer Professional, etc.), Databricks Champion status, and fluency in Dutch.

• RevoData is growing quickly with multiple start dates available in 2026.
• We are open to hiring at Principal level for this role. Principal salary range is €90,000-€110,000 per year. If your skills align more closely with a different level, we will discuss the appropriate salary band during the process.
