Booleans is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead IAM strategy and architecture for enterprise clients in a hybrid role based in Breukelen, NL. You will translate business goals into actionable IAM roadmaps, own architectural vision, and guide bespoke solutions while mentoring senior experts to elevate the practice.

The role requires deep IAM expertise, strong client engagement skills, and fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing enterprise IAM solutions.
• Expert-level knowledge of IAM platforms (Okta, Azure AD) and cloud identity (AWS, Azure).
• Strong understanding of modern security principles including Zero Trust architecture.
• Knowledge of major IAM domains: IGA, PAM, CIAM.
• Experience leading complex IAM projects with senior stakeholders.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy and lead talks with C-level clients to translate goals into an IAM roadmap.
• Own the architectural vision for complex projects and ensure secure, scalable solutions.
• Lead complex decisions when off-the-shelf solutions don’t fit and advise on risks and limits.
• Mentor senior experts and elevate the IAM practice.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact

• You’ll set the strategy. You will lead the critical conversations with C-level clients, challenge their assumptions, and translate complex business goals into a clear, actionable IAM roadmap.
• You’ll be the technical authority. You will own the architectural vision for our most complex projects. You’ll design secure, scalable solutions with cutting-edge tech and remain hands-on with the critical details to ensure they are built right.
• You’ll navigate complexity with honesty. When off-the-shelf solutions aren’t the right fit, you’ll lead the search for the best path forward—whether that’s designing a bespoke component or transparently advising on the limits and risks of what’s possible.
• You’ll make our team better. You will mentor other senior experts, acting as a technical guide and thought leader who elevates the entire practice.

Deep Technical Expertise

• 8+ years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing enterprise IAM solutions.
• Expert-level knowledge of major IAM platforms (Okta, Azure AD, etc.), cloud identity (AWS, Azure), and core protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM).
• Broad proficiency across IAM domains, including Identity Governance (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Customer Identity (CIAM).
• Strong understanding of modern security principles, including Zero Trust architecture and relevant compliance frameworks.

Consulting & Strategic Leadership

• Proven experience leading complex, end-to-end IAM projects, from strategic planning to successful delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to advise senior stakeholders, build C-level relationships, and translate technical concepts into business value.
• Excellent workshop facilitation, presentation, and project leadership skills.
• Native or near-native fluency in both Dutch and English.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with clients and diverse teams.

€6,000–€7,000 gross per month, based on experience and qualifications + benefits.
