Protolabs in the Netherlands is seeking an Engineering Manager, Pricing to lead a team of software engineers, applied ML engineers, and technical product managers. You will shape the pricing engine and the enterprise capabilities that power pricing strategy across factory vs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years leading and managing software engineering teams.
• Experience building and scaling rules-based or model-driven decisioning systems (pricing engines).
• Direct experience with LLM-based or applied ML capabilities in production.
• Experience with pricing strategy, revenue management, or similar quantitative business systems.
• Proven ability to build and operate a reusable enterprise service.
• People-management experience at senior or staff level.

Responsibilities

• Set priorities for pricing engine and services development and provide day-to-day directions.
• Own the capability and roadmap for pricing engine and multi-year strategy.
• Guide analysis, design, development and testing of pricing capabilities across scenarios.
• Lead the creation and ongoing management of LLM-based pricing capabilities.
• Ensure enterprise-grade architecture and shared services across lines.
• Recommend process improvements to raise pricing quality, margin and competitiveness.
• Hire and develop staff spanning software, ML, and technical product management.
• Mentor team on pricing methodology and ML techniques.
• Monitor pricing engine quality and governance.
