Job summary

Allianz Direct is seeking a junior/medior Pricing Analyst to build risk and demand models, set premiums, and drive profitable growth across European markets. The role is based in Rotterdam within a team of 14 focused on the Dutch non-life market, collaborating with analysts and actuaries to share best practices and scale data-driven methods.

You will work on developing models, pricing strategies, and new products, while communicating insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• 0-6 years of experience in pricing, actuarial or analytics.
• MSc in econometrics, mathematics, data science or actuarial sciences.
• Solid knowledge of relevant statistical modeling methods and an interest in machine learning techniques.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python and SQL.
• Fluent English; Dutch is an advantage but not required.

Join Allianz Direct's Pricing team as a junior/medior Pricing Analyst, where you have a valuable opportunity to build risk and demand models, set premiums, and drive profitable growth across European markets. This role is based in Rotterdam, where you will be part of a team of 14 people focused on the Dutch non-life insurance market. You’ll work together with an international community of experienced analysts and actuaries to share best practices, improve performance, and scale data-driven ways of working.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop risk and demand models for Motor and Non-Motor products to optimize commercial prices
• Design and improve tooling to create tariffs and follow up on their profitability
• Develop, propose, and implement pricing strategies
• Participate in the development and implementation of new insurance products
• Monitor product performance and market trends
• Communicate results and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences

What you bring to Allianz Direct

You have strong analytical skills, a creative mind and you have a great interest in data-driven decision-making in the field of pricing. You are enterprising and you find innovations in the insurance industry interesting. You also bring:

• 0-6 years of experience in pricing, actuarial or analytics
• MSc in a relevant field such as econometrics, mathematics, data science or actuarial sciences
• Solid knowledge of relevant statistical modeling methods and an interest in machine learning techniques
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python and SQL
• Fluent English; able to explain complex topics clearly to different audiences

• A starting salary of €56,000 per year, with the possibility of a higher offer depending on your level of experience and expertise
