Job summary

The Power Electronics Group at the University of Twente seeks an outstanding Assistant or Associate Professor to strengthen research and teaching in modern power electronic systems. You will build an independent research line, supervise PhD/MSc researchers, and drive externally funded projects.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics with strong international publication record.
  • Experience in developing independent research lines and obtaining external funding.
  • Teaching and supervision experience at BSc/MSc/PhD level or potential to develop it.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration in an international environment; English proficient.
  • UTQ or willingness to obtain qualification; track record for Associate Professor role preferred.
  • Industrial R&D experience and translating research to applications is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an independent research line that enhances the PE Group's expertise.
  • Supervise PhD and MSc researchers and contribute to teaching in Electrical Engineering.
  • Lead externally funded research projects and collaborate with industry and partners.
  • Contribute to development of next-generation power electronic systems for multiple sectors.
  • Engage with international collaborators and maintain high academic standards.
