Job summary

Avance Consulting is seeking an Operations Engineer to join a multidisciplinary, international agile squad based in Leeuwarden. You will contribute throughout the full lifecycle—from refining user stories to ensuring production stability and observability.

You will work hybrid, with on-site days in Leeuwarden, collaborating in English, and designing reusable automation while supporting high-availability platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience with Postgres DBA in production systems.
• Proficient in Linux shell scripting (Bash/Python).
• Familiar with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/ELKaaS).

Responsibilities

• Perform platform operations including deployments, automation, LCM, support, incident/change management, observability, and capacity planning.
• Design reusable automation and tooling for multiple teams.
• Participate in standby/on-call rotations.

Required skills

• Postgres application DBA experience (setup, usage, performance, monitoring, DDL, optimization)
• Linux and shell scripting (Bash / Python)
