Job summary

TU Delft invites applications for a Postdoctoral researcher to explore nature-inspired architectured concrete using 3D-printed scaffolds guiding a fungal network.

You will build on numerical models and contribute to shaping next steps in sustainable construction materials and bio-inspired design within the Materials & Environment section of the TU Delft Department of Materials, Mechanics, Management & Design.

Responsibilities

• Use existing computational tools and research foundations to investigate promising concrete architectures.
• Design and perform simple experiments to test and validate the developed architectures.
• Combine modelling and experimental results to understand how architecture influences the mechanical performance of the composites.
