The Leiden Academic Centre for Drug Research (LACDR) at Leiden University invites applications for a Postdoctoral candidate in medicinal chemistry/chemical biology to target synthetic lethality involving EXO1. The role integrates drug discovery with interdisciplinary collaboration and advanced laboratory facilities in Leiden.

Qualifications

PhD in medicinal chemistry, organic synthesis, or chemical biology.
Strong background in structure-based drug design and organic synthesis.
Experience in chemical biology probe development or chemo-proteomics is a plus.
Excellent publication record in peer-reviewed journals.

Responsibilities

Develop scaffold proposals for covalent and non-covalent inhibitors.
Optimize novel and existing compound series for cellular testing.
Develop tool compounds for cellular target engagement assays.
Advance candidate optimization enabling in vivo studies.
