Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline (molecular biology, metabolic engineering, synthetic biology or cell biology).
• Hands-on experience in molecular biology, genetics or genome engineering is required.
• Demonstrated creativity and independence in experimental research and development of innovative methodologies.
• Appreciates collaboration with industrial partners and research with real-world impact.

Responsibilities

• Investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying robustness in industrial yeast strains.
• Translate knowledge into rational strategies for strain improvement using genome editing and physiology studies.
