The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree (or PhD) in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Fermentation Technology, or Chemical Engineering with biotech specialization, with 0–2 years of laboratory experience.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Fermentation Technology, or Chemical Engineering with biotech specialization.
  • Basic understanding of microbial physiology and fermentation principles.
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and lab safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of bioreactors, fermentation systems, and analytical methods preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct microbiological experiments: isolation, culturing, staining, characterization.
  • Assist fermentation process development, optimization, and scale-up.
  • Monitor pH, temperature, DO, and nutrient use during fermentation.
  • Perform routine analytical testing with standard lab instruments.
  • Prepare media and reagents; maintain microbial cultures aseptically.
  • Support quality control and follow SOPs for safety.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure calibration and cleanliness.
