Job summary

Radboud University seeks a junior postdoctoral researcher to develop and empirically test Bayesian cognitive models of infant learning. You will work at the Donders Institute and collaborate with researchers across cognitive science, computer science, and psychology.

You will design and validate models using longitudinal data, contribute to experiments with infants, and help translate findings into insights on early cognitive development.

Qualifications

• PhD required in cognitive science, developmental cognitive neuroscience, AI, or related field.
• Strong motivation for interdisciplinary empirical research at the intersection of cognitive science and developmental psychology.
• Experience with computational modelling techniques and their application in cognitive science.
• Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive, flexible approach to work.
• Experience with experimental developmental psychology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement Bayesian cognitive models capturing latent cognitive processes in infancy.
• Test models empirically in infants and analyze developmental data.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across psychology and computer science.
• Contribute to dissemination of findings and methodological advances.
