Job summary

Radboud University invites applications for a 3-year postdoc position focusing on a model-based approach to understanding cognitive development in early childhood. You will develop and empirically test Bayesian cognitive models using longitudinal data, contributing to BabyBRAIN and related labs.

You will work with interdisciplinary teams of developmental scientists, cognitive scientists and computer scientists, applying advanced computational modelling to infant cognition and its links to later

Qualifications

  • PhD in cognitive science, developmental cognitive neuroscience, AI, or related field.
  • Strong motivation for interdisciplinary empirical research at the intersection of cognitive science and developmental psychology.
  • Experience with computational modelling techniques and their application in cognitive science.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to take a strong, positive and proactive approach to work.
  • Experience with experimental developmental psychology is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and implement Bayesian cognitive models that capture latent cognitive processes in infancy.
  • Test models empirically in infants within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with PIs and colleagues across the BabyBRAIN and Donders Institute labs.
