Job summary

RIVM in Bilthoven zoekt een postdoc die antigen-specifieke single-cell profiling uitvoert om immunologische mechanismen van langlevende bescherming te ontrafelen. Je werkt met klinische cohorts en advanced sequencing-technologieën onder begeleiding van een ervaren team.

De functie biedt een tweejarige contract en een hybride werkomgeving met regelmatige on-site dagen. Je rapporteert aan de IMC-afdeling en werkt samen met een bioinformaticus aan de analyse en interpretatie van data.

Qualifications

• PhD in immunology, infectious diseases preferred.
• Experience with flow cytometry and cell sorting; single-cell techniques a plus.
• Strong programming skills in R or Python for large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Generate and analyze single-cell datasets from clinical cohorts to study cellular immunity.
• Profile antigen-specific B and T cell responses at single-cell resolution.
• Collaborate with a bioinformatician to translate complex lab data into immunological insights.
• Plan and perform lab experiments for flow cytometry and single-cell omics in human studies.
• Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and present at meetings.
