Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer in Hilversum with a focus on maintaining and expanding cloud platforms across AWS, Azure and GCP. You will work in a hybrid setup, balancing incident handling with automation initiatives to streamline operations.

The role requires 3+ years of Kubernetes experience, proficiency in GitOps (ArgoCD/FluxCD) and Helm, and strong IaC skills using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with Kubernetes: architecture, networking, security, operations, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, FluxCD) and Helm.
• Monitoring and Observability knowledge.
• Infrastructure as Code experience: Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and expand Kubernetes platforms across AWS, Azure and GCP.

Kubernetes Platform Engineer | €90k | 2 days in Hilversum

Our client is one of the biggest media companies in the Netherlands and Europe. They are driving their sector with news websites, video-on-demand platforms, and daily weather updates, so the technical environments are a big part and driving force of the company.

The internal platform team (7 FTE) is looking to expand. This team is responsible for delivering cloud platforms across the organization for both production applications and internal development. They work as a consulting cell, collaborating with numerous development teams and providing platforms and related tooling.

The work is roughly 50/50 distributed between daily incidents/maintenance and automation projects. The organization runs multiple Kubernetes platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Furthermore, they leverage ArgoCD for GitOps, Helm for package management, Terraform for IaC, and utilize GitLab, Python, Grafana, and Prometheus.

We are looking for a mid-level or Senior engineer to join the team

Requirements:

• 3+ years' experience on Kubernetes: architecture, networking, security, operations, and troubleshooting
• Experience with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, FluxCD) and Helm
• Monitoring and Observability knowledge
• Infrastructure as Code Experience: Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep or similar tools.

Nice to have:

• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS)
• Experience with AWS

Salary: up to 90k base

Location: Hilversum, hybrid (2 days on site)
