Job summary

ITProposal in Eindhoven, Netherlands, seeks an experienced Platform Architect (Google Cloud) to join the Cloud Center of Excellence. You will guide DevOps teams, design secure and scalable cloud architectures, and accelerate delivery through automation and best practices.

This onsite role requires hands-on cloud engineering, leadership, and collaboration across international teams to uplift cloud maturity and optimize costs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Solution Architect.
• Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (must-have).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure is a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with IaaS: Virtual Machines, GKE, Networking & Storage.
• Designing and implementing PaaS: Web Apps, Managed Databases, Kubernetes, Data Lake, Databricks.
• Proficient with Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Deep understanding of cloud-based data integration patterns and modern data architectures.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex deployment scenarios.
• Engineering and coding experience in agile environments.
• Proven track record in architecture design, solution definition, and managing change and risk.
• Experience working in large, international enterprises or global service providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and expertise in cloud onboarding across Google Cloud and Azure (Google Cloud as primary focus).
• Educate and guide DevOps teams in designing secure, scalable, and compliant cloud architectures.
• Act as a consulting partner to DevOps teams, removing roadblocks and enabling successful cloud adoption.
• Serve as the main point of contact for cloud architecture guidance and represent the CCoE as an ambassador.
• Promote cloud cost awareness and support teams in optimizing cloud spend.
• Test, validate, and adopt new cloud technologies; provide hands-on support when needed.
• Identify service gaps and collaborate with product owners to enhance cloud services.
• Contribute to architecture design for cloud-native and hybrid applications.
• Support automation initiatives including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Document solution designs and maintain high-quality technical standards.
