Job summary

Itproposal is seeking an experienced Platform Architect (Google Cloud) to join its Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). You will guide DevOps teams in secure, scalable cloud architectures and support onboarding, modernization, and automation across Google Cloud and Azure.

Strong leadership and hands-on cloud engineering capability are essential for driving enterprise-wide cloud maturity. You will collaborate across diverse teams, promote cost awareness, and represent the CCoE as a trusted advisor,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or Business Management.
• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Solution Architect.
• Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (must-have).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure is a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with IaaS services: Virtual Machines, GKE, Networking & Storage.
• Designing and implementing PaaS solutions: Web Apps, Managed Databases, Kubernetes, Data Lake, Databricks.
• Proficient with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Deep understanding of cloud-based data integration patterns and modern data architectures.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex deployment scenarios.
• Engineering and coding experience in agile environments.
• Proven track record in technical architecture design and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architecture for cloud-native and hybrid applications.
• Support automation initiatives including CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
• Document solution designs and maintain high-quality technical standards.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Platform Architect (Google Cloud) to join the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), an international team of 75+ cloud professionals driving enterprise-wide cloud adoption. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to DevOps teams, guiding them in designing secure, scalable, and compliant cloud architectures on Google Cloud. You will support cloud onboarding, modernize cloud-native and hybrid solutions, and help accelerate delivery through automation and best practices.

This position requires strong technical leadership, hands-on cloud engineering capability, and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams to uplift cloud maturity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and expertise in cloud onboarding across Google Cloud and Azure (Google Cloud as primary focus).
• Educate and guide DevOps teams in designing secure, scalable, and compliant cloud architectures.
• Act as a consulting partner to DevOps teams, removing roadblocks and enabling successful cloud adoption.
• Serve as the main point of contact for cloud architecture guidance and represent the CCoE as an ambassador.
• Promote cloud cost awareness and support teams in optimizing cloud spend.
