Job summary

Viasat in The Hague seeks a Platform Architect to define how product and operational requirements translate into scalable platforms and solutions. You will lead cross-domain architecture, collaborating with Product Management, Global Operations and Engineering across multiple domains to ensure well-architected outcomes.

You’ll assess new opportunities, develop business cases, and mentor engineering teams while aligning with governance and delivery of programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of professional software development experience.
Hands-on networking and SD-WAN, infrastructure and cloud expertise.
Experience with 3GPP standards: 5G NR, NTN, NB-IoT.
Proven ability to design and deliver scalable, end-to-end architectures.
Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end cross-domain architecture and translate requirements into designs.
Assess feasibility of new opportunities and support business cases.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
Act as trusted advisor to Product Management and Business Segments.
Collaborate with PMO, Product Management and Operations to ensure delivery.
Review high-level designs to ensure scalability, reliability and operability.
Create architectural documentation and diagrams.
