We are looking for 1–2 experienced Shipbuilding Platers / Steel Shipbuilding Fabricators for a long-term shipbuilding project in Franeker, the Netherlands.

This position is suitable for skilled professionals with proven experience in shipbuilding, steel section assembly and marine construction who can read technical drawings and work completely independently.

JOB DETAILS

Salary: €19 NET per hour
Working Hours: 50+ hours per week
Contract: Lithuanian A1 employment contract
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Long-term employment

YOUR WORK

As a Shipbuilding Plater, you will be responsible for assembling steel sections and structures for seagoing vessels.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reading and interpreting technical shipbuilding drawings
• Assembling steel sections and structural components
• Preparing and fitting steel plates for ship construction
• Measuring, positioning and aligning steel components
• Carrying out steel fabrication and assembly work
• Working according to technical drawings and project specifications
• Checking measurements and assembly accuracy
• Using professional metalworking tools and equipment
• Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
• Following shipyard safety procedures
• Completing assigned tasks independently without relying on a working partner

Important: Candidates must be able to work independently. This position is not suitable for workers who require a partner to carry out their tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

• EU nationality / valid EU passport or ID – REQUIRED
• Proven professional experience as an All-Round Shipbuilding Plater
• Experience assembling steel sections for seagoing vessels
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Ability to work completely independently
• Strong practical knowledge of shipbuilding and steel fabrication
• Valid Category B driving licence – REQUIRED
• Own car preferred
• Accurate, reliable and quality-focused
• Willingness to work 50+ hours per week
• Available to start as soon as possible
• Updated CV with relevant shipbuilding experience required
