Qualifications

• EU nationality / valid EU passport or ID – REQUIRED.
• Practical professional experience in metal grinding.
• Experience working with grinding equipment.
• Ability to use grinding tools safely and correctly.
• Knowledge of metal surface preparation and finishing.
• Valid Category B driving licence – REQUIRED.
• Own car preferred.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a shipyard environment.
• Reliable, motivated and safety-conscious.
• Available to start as soon as possible.
• Updated CV with relevant work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Grinding metal components and steel structures.
• Preparing metal surfaces for further processing.
• Removing burrs, rough edges and imperfections.
• Smoothing and finishing welded areas.
• Using angle grinders and professional grinding equipment.
• Checking surfaces to ensure the required finish.
• Handling metal components carefully and accurately.
• Following shipyard safety procedures.
• Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workplace.
