Qualifications

• EQF level 4 or Bachelor level of working and thinking.
• A technical education is an advantage, preferably with knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
• Good command of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Planning equipment deployment based on the operational planning for the next three years.
• Planning periodic maintenance of equipment, with the aim of minimizing downtime and maximizing availability.
• Identifying equipment gaps in the planning and initiating the process for new builds in a timely manner.
• Optimizing rental costs by preparing business cases and cost-benefit analyses.
• Preparing ERFs (Equipment Request Forms / Equipment Allocations).
• Maintaining close cooperation with Work Planners.
• Identifying equipment replacement needs and preparing investment proposals.

WellGear is expanding and is looking for a

to join our Equipment team. We are looking for one new colleague who will be based either in the UK or the Netherlands to perform this role.

In this role, you will ensure the optimal deployment of equipment and accurate planning, acting as the connecting link between Operations and the Equipment department. You will work in a dynamic environment where quality, safety and teamwork are key.

Your responsibilities

As Planning Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for the Operations department regarding equipment planning. You will be responsible for allocating equipment to both internal and external projects, organizing and managing third-party equipment, and optimizing the use of both WellGear-owned and rented equipment.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• Planning equipment deployment based on the operational planning for the next three years;
• Planning periodic maintenance of equipment, with the aim of minimizing downtime and maximizing availability;
• Identifying equipment gaps in the planning and initiating the process for new builds in a timely manner;
