Function:
As an Equipment Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, improving, and deploying offshore equipment, working closely with engineering, tender, project, and operational teams.
Specific duties in this role include:
- Developing engineering solutions to optimize existing equipment for current and future offshore activities.
- Preparing functional equipment designs and vessel deck layouts.
- Preparing, issuing, and following up on specifications for detailed design and fabrication.
- Reviewing engineering work produced by colleagues within the team.
- Collaborating with suppliers to clarify technical requirements for owned and rental equipment.
- Coordinating engineering activities internally and with subcontractors.
- Managing interfaces between Engineering, Project, and Fleet departments within the organization.
- Contributing to the development of new technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in offshore installation projects and/or tendering activities.
- Experience in concept engineering and the ability to think creatively and out of the box.
- Knowledge of production methods, material applications, and equipment optimization.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD 2D/3D, Inventor, and Navisworks.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
