Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer / Piping Designer for an Industrial Process Projects role. The client, based in the Netherlands, offers remote working but travel to Eindhoven area may be required. Open to candidates across Europe; 6–12 month engagement and freelance only. Fluency in English is essential.

The role covers piping layouts, plant design, and engineering documentation across FEED to detailed design stages. Strong experience with 2D/3D design tools is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial process, manufacturing, utilities, energy, chemical, petrochemical, or heavy engineering environments.
• Knowledge of piping layouts, equipment arrangements, plant design and engineering documentation.
• Familiarity with 2D and 3D design software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, PDMS, E3D, CADWorx, Inventor.

Responsibilities

• Involved throughout the engineering lifecycle from concept/FEED through to detailed design and project execution.
• Support projects from FEED and concept design through to detailed engineering.
• Produce General Arrangements, Isometrics, Plot Plans and design drawings.

Mechanical Design Engineer / Piping Designer – Industrial Process Projects

Mechanical Design Engineer / Piping Designer required to join our client on a remote working basis. The client is headquartered in The Netherlands and is involved in the delivery of industrial engineering and process plant projects across Europe.

The organisation provides engineering and technical solutions to a range of process industries, supporting both new-build and brownfield projects. The successful candidate will be involved throughout the engineering lifecycle, from concept and FEED stages through to detailed design and project execution.

THE CLIENT WILL ACCEPT FREELANCET CANDIDATES ONLY – ENGLISH SPEAKING IS ESSENTIAL

• Experience within Industrial Process, Manufacturing, Utilities, Energy, Chemical, Petrochemical, or Heavy Engineering environments
• Knowledge of piping layouts, equipment arrangements, plant design, and engineering documentation
• Familiarity with 2D and 3D design software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, PDMS, E3D, CADWorx, Inventor, or similar packages
• Experience producing General Arrangements, Isometrics, Plot Plans, and design drawings
• Experience supporting projects from FEED and concept design through to detailed engineering

The client is happy to consider candidates already based in The Netherlands or individuals located elsewhere in Europe who are able to travel to the Eindhoven area as required. Flexible remote working arrangements are available.
