A respected engineering firm in Rotterdam is seeking a Lead Piping Engineer to oversee complex projects and lead a team of 15-30 engineers and designers. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in piping engineering and strong leadership skills. What Will You Do?

• Lead and coordinate a team of engineers and designers (15‑30 people) on complex projects
• Supervise day‑to‑day piping engineering activities across all project phases
• Ensure designs meet client standards, international codes, and project scope
• Set up and manage project planning tools, tracking scope, schedule, budget, and milestones
• Develop layout philosophies and mechanical scopes of work
• Contribute to procurement support and interface with vendors and clients
• Promote HSE awareness and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Address cross‑discipline engineering issues to maintain coherence and progress

What Do You Bring?

• BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in piping engineering for oil & gas, chemicals, or refineries
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams and multiple disciplines
• Familiar with 3D plant design tools (PDMS, PDS, SmartPlant 3D)
• Experience with estimating man‑hours and construction cost insights
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Workshare experience is a strong plus
