Job summary

Olandija is seeking a pipefitter responsible for laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, and industrial processing.

The role requires selecting pipe types/sizes, reading plans, planning installation sequences, threading and ending pipes, joining piping with various methods, securing pipes with clamps, and testing for leaks under pressure.

Qualifications

• Ability to select type and size of pipe and related materials.
• Knowledge of system operation and ability to read building plans/working drawings.
• Experience planning sequence of installation to avoid obstructions.
• Experience threading and ending pipe by hand or with pipe bending machine.
• Ability to assemble and join piping by threaded, chalked, wiped, soldered, brazed fused, or cemented joints.
• Experience securing pipes to structure with clamps, brackets, and hangers, using hand tools.
• Knowledge of testing piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping and piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems.
• Follow job specifications and applicable codes during installation and maintenance.
