Job summary
Limagrain Vegetable Seeds Traits and Technology in the Netherlands seeks a Phytopathology Research Assistant to support disease screening, diagnostics, pathogen maintenance, and applied research in lab, greenhouse, and field environments. This fulltime role interacts with pathologists, breeders, and researchers in an international context.
You will contribute to pathology protocol development, data analysis, and molecular workflows while traveling within the Netherlands and occasionally
Qualifications
- BSc in plant sciences or related field.
- Experience with sterile techniques and media preparation.
- Experience with plant-pathogen interactions or diagnostics is advantageous.
- Good communication in English; Dutch is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support execution of phytopathology research projects and routine activities.
- Prepare and conduct disease screening trials in lab, greenhouse, climate chamber and field.
- Maintain and characterize pathogen collections using standard methods.
- Perform diagnostics and assessments using established methods.
- Develop, validate, and optimize pathology protocols and screening tools.
