Job summary

University of Twente invites applications for a full-time four-year PhD position in surgical micro-robotics, focusing on micro- and nano-fabrication and optical sensing. You will design, fabricate and validate micro-scale robotic platforms in close collaboration with international partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in applied physics, nanotechnology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or biomedical engineering.
• Strong background in micro-scale systems or robotics.
• Experience in optical sensing, microfabrication, modeling and control.
• Experience integrating miniaturized sensing/actuation for biomedical or robotic applications.
