Job summary

Two Postdoc positions for max. 2.5 years in Photonics for Quantum at the University of Twente.

You will work on photonic integrated circuits for quantum communication and networking, integrating high-brightness III-V sources with low-loss SiN routing circuits. You will design photonic circuits, perform quantum-optical characterization after fabrication, and collaborate with colleagues in the AQO department and with industrial/academic partners in the P4Q consortium.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Physics with a strong background in integrated photonics and quantum optics.
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary, international environment.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong command of English; Dutch or German is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to design of photonic circuits and their hybrid integration.
  • Perform quantum-optical characterization after fabrication.
  • Collaborate with the AQO group and industry/academic partners in the P4Q consortium.
