Job summary

Real is seeking a Production Support Engineer to join a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, integrity, and performance of production equipment through preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.

You will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to support safe and efficient GMP-compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years in maintenance engineering or facility engineering.
• Experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of CMMS and calibration/documentation processes.
• Strong problem-solving and compliance mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, corrective, and troubleshooting maintenance on production equipment in GMP and non-GMP areas.
• Perform first-line failure remediation and rapid equipment breakdown resolution.
• Support planned maintenance shutdowns and prepare interventions.
• Conduct inspection, calibration, and documentation per procedures.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality to prioritize maintenance tasks.
• Manage spare parts inventory with Maintenance and Reliability Engineering.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through equipment and process optimization.
• Support validation activities and maintenance-related validation protocols.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation such as work instructions and SOPs.
• Provide technical guidance and training to operators.
• Ensure safety, GMP compliance, and adherence to internal guidelines.
