Job summary

ViCentra B.V. in the Netherlands seeks a People Operations Lead to build and scale a modern, automation-first People Operations function.

You will lead a two-person team while shaping processes for onboarding, payroll and governance. You will drive data-driven decisions, ensure Dutch labor law compliance, partner with payroll providers, and coach the team to deliver sustainable growth and excellent employee experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in a people operations or HR operations role.
• 2–3 years of experience leading or coaching others.
• Strong background in payroll (local and international) and Dutch labor law.
• Experience with HRIS and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onboarding, offboarding and contract management, including orientations, documentation, and transitions
• Manage payroll processing via a third-party provider, ensuring accuracy, timely payments, and compliance with Dutch labour laws
• Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring adherence to legislation and company policies
• Handle mobility topics such as visa applications, relocations, and offboarding. Serve as the main contact for governmental institutions.
• Maintain data integrity in HRIS, generate reports, and support data-driven decision-making
• Lead, coach and develop two People Operations team members

As a People Operations Lead, you will join an organization with ambitious goals, where People Operations is still in the development phase. You will lead a team of two People Operations professionals while remaining actively involved in daily operations. Your role will involve establishing solid foundations, designing scalable processes, and creating a fully digitized, automation-first People Operations environment, ensuring sustainability, efficiency, and future growth.

• Oversee onboarding, offboarding and contract management, including orientations, documentation, and transitions
• Manage payroll processing via a third-party provider, ensuring accuracy, timely payments, and compliance with Dutch labour laws
• Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring adherence to legislation and company policies

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in a similar people operations role within a scaling company, including at least 2–3 years of experience leading or coaching others
• Solid background in HR operations, payroll (local/international), employee relations, Dutch labor law, HR policies, CLA/Non-CLA, and TWV procedures
• Experience in leading or coaching others, with a hands-on leadership style
• Experience with French, German, or UK labor law is preferred
• Proficiency with HRIS and MS Office; experience handling confidential information
