Job summary

Allianz NL seeks an experienced People & Culture Manager to shape the Dutch HR practice, turning broad policy into practical local solutions. You will translate global P&C strategy into Dutch procedures, coach managers on complex cases, and lead local initiatives while ensuring compliance with Dutch law.

You will collaborate with the Country Lead and Legal counsel, driving data-driven decisions and exploring automation to reduce manual work.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Law, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least seven years of broad HR generalist experience, with significant exposure to the Dutch market, ideally in an international matrix organization.
• Solid, hands-on knowledge of Dutch employment law, collective labour agreements, absence and reintegration regulations, and HR policy frameworks.
• Proven experience working with a Dutch Works Council, including managing advice and consent procedures.
• Experience with reorganizations, complex casework, HR projects, people analytics, and payroll governance.
• A track record of building HR processes, procedures, and structures from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Advise and take local ownership: be the trusted contact for managers on people matters and balance business priorities with Dutch law contexts.
• Build strong local foundations: design and embed local P&C procedures where they do not exist yet.
• Lead on employment law and employee relations: manage complex cases with discretion and a firm grasp of Dutch law.
• Coordinate Works Council matters: prepare meetings, align stakeholders, and manage consent processes.
• Support reorganizations and change: contribute to the local people agenda during changes while ensuring compliance.
• Turn global policies into local practice: adapt global P&C policies to the Dutch context for consistent application.
• Use data to improve decisions: track metrics, improve data quality, and surface insights; explore GenAI-enabled solutions.
• Improve how P&C works: simplify tools and processes, facilitate cross-border initiatives, and identify automation opportunities.
• Oversee payroll governance: monitor payroll controls and interfaces; day-to-day payroll is outside scope.
