Job summary

Philip Morris International in Amsterdam is seeking an HR Specialist to join the People & Culture team. You will support payroll, benefits, administration, and employee experience delivery across BeNeLux, acting as a subject matter expert for payroll processes in local markets.

The role emphasizes collaboration with internal stakeholders and external providers, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably within a multinational organization.
• Experience with personnel administration and HR operational processes.
• Good understanding of Collective Bargaining Agreements and the local labor environment.
• Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Experience with SuccessFactors is an advantage.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Agile, collaborative, and customer-focused approach.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-driven, proactive, and eager to contribute to a dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities

• Support employees with People & Culture-related queries and ensure timely end-to-end resolution.
• Coordinate payroll, time & attendance, benefits, and mobility activities with external service providers.
• Manage local People & Culture administration, including vendor management and P&C cost management in partnership with Finance.
• Contribute to an outstanding Employee Experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and improve P&C processes and administrative practices.
• Collaborate with local and global stakeholders, corporate teams, and external providers to ensure effective service delivery and compliance.
• Support transformation initiatives and projects contributing to PMI’s smoke-free future.
• Ensure compliance with local labor regulations, collective bargaining agreements, and company policies.
• Promote PMI standards related to quality, health, safety, and compliance.
