Job summary

Optics11 in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to develop advanced analytics for our partial discharge monitoring and predictive maintenance platform. You will translate complex engineering challenges into scalable data-driven solutions, processing sensor signals to enable early detection, localization, and quantification of partial discharge in energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional data science experience with sensor data.
Strong Python and scientific libraries (pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn).
Experience analyzing sensor signals and time-series data.
Background in signal-processing techniques and ML deployment.
Ability to translate data patterns to real-world physics.
English written and spoken; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, validate, and maintain algorithms for sensor data analysis and predictive analytics.
Translate requirements into production-ready, robust ML pipelines.
Analyse large-scale sensor and time-series data to improve monitoring.
Develop signal-processing, feature engineering, and statistical models.
Collaborate with software and platform engineers to deploy in cloud and edge.
Monitor performance and contribute to model maintenance and retraining.
