Job summary

Allianz Direct in Rotterdam is seeking a Medior Data Scientist / ML Engineer to join a global team of data scientists and engineers. You will build and deploy ML solutions end-to-end to support pricing, claims, and operations, on the Databricks/AzureML stack.

You will work in a hybrid Rotterdam office, with a MSc/PhD plus 5+ years in DS/ML and strong Python/pandas/scikit-learn skills. Fluency in English is required and there is a clear path to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in a relevant technical field such as computer science, data science, physics, econometrics, or engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar data science or ML engineering role.
• Strong Python coding skills and experience with pandas/scikit-learn.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end ML models from ideation with business stakeholders to deployment and monitoring.
• Tackle modelling problems across pricing, claims, customer contacts, and operations using diverse algorithms.
• Collaborate with dev engineers to embed deployed models into business processes.
• Contribute to the evolving ML platform, data platform, and internal packages.
