Job summary

New Ways B.V. is seeking a reliable Finance & Accounts Officer to support our Amsterdam-based finance team on a part-time basis (2-3 days per week). The role focuses on day-to-day financial administration with ownership and proactive execution.

You will handle invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and monthly/year-end closings while ensuring compliance with Dutch VAT and accounting standards. Strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Good knowledge of Dutch bookkeeping and VAT regulations.
• Experience with AccountView or similar accounting software.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive mindset.
• Ability to work independently and own monthly finance processes.
• Good English communication; Dutch is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify purchase invoices before posting.
• Import and reconcile sales invoices from ERP system.
• Match bank transactions with customer and supplier invoices.
• Monitor customer receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
• Ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time.
• Reconcile customer and supplier balances and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain organized financial records and proper documentation.
• Support compliance with Dutch accounting, VAT, and financial reporting requirements.
