Job summary

Perfetti Van Melle in Breda seeks a Packaging Development Specialist for Europe co-packing and co-manufacturing. You will lead packaging development across primary through transport packaging, coordinating with suppliers, co-packers and internal teams to deliver compliant, production-ready solutions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in packaging or engineering, hands-on experience in packaging development and technical project management, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or HBO in packaging, engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience in packaging development and technical project management.
• Knowledge of EU packaging legislation and sustainability trends.

Responsibilities

• Lead the packaging workstream for new product launches and co-packing projects across Europe.
• Evaluate packaging suppliers' proposals for co-packer equipment and processes.
• Develop and optimise packaging solutions balancing protection, cost, sustainability and marketing.
• Plan and coordinate trials, transit tests and validation activities; attend trials when required.
• Manage packaging specifications and project data with complete documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality requirements and EU/local packaging legislation.
• Collaborate with suppliers, third-party manufacturers and cross-functional colleagues across Europe.
