Qualifications

• Preferably minimum 7 years of experience in shipyard/site engineering within ship or yacht construction projects.
• Basic knowledge of planning and outfitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Organize daily work in line with the project plan.
• Prepare and update overall layout (ALL) and equipment plans.
• Develop and implement technical equipment layouts within the 3D model.
• Ensure interdisciplinary coordination to prevent and resolve clashes.
• Generate production and site-related outputs from 3D models.
• Verify manufacturability and accessibility of equipment systems.
• Prepare, maintain, and update technical drawings, lists, and documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input.
• Review own deliverables and implement continuous improvements.
• Support the development of engineering processes and methodologies.

Skills

Knowledge of relevant regulations and classification society rules

Proficiency in Rhino

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Good command of written and spoken English

Education

Job description

The Plan & Outfit Engineer is responsible for ensuring that overall layout (ALL), equipment systems, technical arrangements, and 3D modeling activities within the scope of the project are prepared accurately, on time, and in a production-ready format.

The position reports hierarchically to the Engineering Manager and functionally to the Project Manager – Engineering and the Team Leader – Planning & Equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize daily work in line with the project plan and Team Leader guidance
• Prepare and update overall layout (ALL) and equipment plans
• Develop and implement technical equipment layouts within the 3D model
• Ensure interdisciplinary coordination to prevent and resolve clashes
• Generate production and site-related outputs from 3D models
• Verify manufacturability and accessibility of equipment systems
• Ensure proper integration of supplier equipment layouts
• Prepare, maintain, and update technical drawings, lists, and documentation
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input
• Review own deliverables and implement continuous improvements
• Support the development of engineering processes and methodologies

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Time: Delivery of assigned tasks in accordance with the project schedule and man-hour budget
• Quality: Number of revisions and design-related issues in assigned tasks
• Compliance: Acceptance rate in classification/flag inspections

Occupational Health, Safety & Environment

• Ensure full compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company procedures and instructions

Development

• Maintain continuous professional and technical development
• Contribute to the improvement of departmental processes
• Support cross-functional collaboration within the organization
