APM Terminals is seeking a QA Engineer to support, coordinate, execute, document, and report quality assurance and testing activities for automation products and OT deployments across all project phases.
You will work with QA Leads, Product Managers, Deployment Leads, and engineering teams to ensure end-to-end verification before live operations, including test evidence and readiness reporting.
APM Terminals PURPOSE: The QA Engineer is responsible for supporting, coordinating, executing, documenting, and reporting quality assurance and testing activities related to automation products and OT deployments. This includes test preparation, test execution, defect registration and follow-up, retesting, evidence management, and readiness validation across all relevant project and product lifecycle phases. The role helps ensure that automation solutions, OT platforms, control systems, equipment, system interfaces, operational processes, and terminal workflows are verified and validated as an integrated end-to-end solution before being introduced into live operations. Testing may include simulation and emulation, supplier and factory testing, installation verification, commissioning, integration testing, operational testing, user acceptance testing, release validation, go-live support, and post-go-live stabilization. The QA Engineer works closely with the Quality Assurance Lead, Product Managers, Deployment Leads, terminal stakeholders, engineering teams, OT specialists, and suppliers. The role ensures that test results, defects, quality risks, dependencies, and readiness concerns are accurately documented, communicated, and followed through to resolution. Formal business and operational acceptance remains with the appropriate accountable stakeholders. The QA Engineer provides the objective test evidence, defect information, and quality status required to support those decisions.

The QA Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and deployment readiness of automation products and OT systems operating within complex terminal environments. Working closely with Product Managers, Deployment Leads, engineering teams, operational stakeholders, and external suppliers, you will provide the structured testing, defect management, quality evidence, and readiness insights required to support safe and successful deployments.
The role includes participation in office, supplier, project, laboratory, emulation, and live terminal environments and may require international travel and occasional work outside standard office hours during planned testing or deployment windows.
