Job summary

Sligro Food Group in Veghel is hiring a Logistics Employee/Order Picker for a 36-hour week. You will gather daily orders for branches using a fully automated order-picking system with a handheld scanner and picking cart, ensuring accuracy and on-time readiness.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for gathering daily orders for our branches. Using a fully automated order-picking system, you’ll work with a handheld scanner and an electronic picking cart. A terminal on your cart will show you exactly which items are required. You will pick items for multiple branches simultaneously and organize the carts for their respective routes. You’ll also keep the department tidy and report any out-of-stock items. Together with your colleagues, you’ll ensure that every order is complete and ready on time.

What are your responsibilities?

You are responsible for accurately picking orders using modern equipment. You will monitor the quality of the process, identify missing items, and ensure the department remains clean and well-organized. You’ll work at a steady pace while maintaining high precision, ensuring that our branches always receive exactly what they ordered. You will contribute to a smooth logistics process, working alongside your colleagues every day to ensure all orders are completed on schedule.

When will you be working?

Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM – 9:45 PM.

What we offer you

• You will receive a maximum gross salary of €2,444.52, in accordance with the GIL collective labor agreement (CAO), excluding allowances for evening shifts or work in refrigerated or frozen storage areas.
• You are entitled to 25 vacation days (based on a full-time position).
• You will start with an eight-month contract, with the possibility of an extension.
• You will receive a travel allowance for commutes of 11 kilometers or more (one way).
• During your breaks, you can enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, soft drinks, instant soup, and fruit. If you work an evening shift, you will also receive a free meal.

What do you bring to the role?

You have a positive work ethic and enjoy physical tasks. You work with precision and maintain a clear overview, even during busy periods. Experience in logistics is a plus, but not a strict requirement. You are capable of handling physically demanding tasks and can communicate in Dutch or English. You enjoy working as part of a team and ensure that tasks are completed neatly and on time.
